The 2014 holiday windows for Barneys New York, under the artistic direction of Baz Luhrmann, marked the brand’s first foray into large-scale theatrics with a full scenic build out and six weeks of daily performances inside their windows featuring ice skaters, break dancing elves, opera singers and more. The unveiling of the windows was marked by an outdoor performance spectacular that closed Madison Avenue, featuring a live performance by Pentatonix plus a cast of 50+ ice skaters, dancers, and musicians, under the direction of Baz Luhrmann.
